Lexi files Automated Export System (AES) declarations to U.S. Customs against your confirmed booking. The filing is pulled from the booking record - the sales orders, the commodity detail, the parties - so nothing is re-keyed from a spreadsheet or an email. The filing record is retained automatically, so the export declaration is there when Customs asks for it.
When a booking splits across two sales orders, the AES filing has to hold both. Miss one and the reconciliation breaks - quietly.
Filing AES by hand means re-entering booking data under time pressure, then reconciling it against the booking later.
